Nowdays ‘social cooperatives’ makes head line in the world. MunGyeong Girls‘ High School opened social cooperative store province at the school for the first time in Daegu-Gyeongbuk. Unlike general school stores, its profit is used for develop students' education, and welfare work as well as selling healthy food. 

  As the store sells many local foods , it’s good for local community. In addition, students can join  economic activities. When you buy healthy drinks or fruits, at the store and helping the local community. you are actually using local agricultural products.

  At first, The school store started  while students were debating for about social cooperatives two years ago. Also, to continue the progress, MGHS, has conducted membership education, held an idea competition and a conference of delegates.

  I've also been trained by professionals as members. Before the training, the only thing I knew was ‘it’s just a school store’.  But looking at many countries which implemented it, I realized that social cooperatives are convenience and advantageous.   Social Cooperatives is established to live well with local neighborhood. If we can do a wise economic activities with a good mean, school can concentrate in education. From now on, let's have a interest and use social cooperatives.
